Bundagen

Kelly
On Tuesday, Kelly (a friend that we knew through an AP Parenting group in Sydney, who has been living in Bellingen with her partner and child for about two years) took us to her favourite place to eat up this way; Bundagen.

Bundagen is an intentional community that has been running since 1981. It is about 20 minutes drive from Bellingen and it is pretty wonderful. On Tuesdays they run a cafe to raise money and the food is simply amazing. When we visited they were serving Miso Noodle Soup with Pumpkin and Polenta alongside a variety of cakes, chai and juice (for about $10 a head). After lunch we had a wander around the property and marvelled at the various homes tucked in amongst the trees.

This tree was literally teeming with kids-hanging, sliding and jumping off and on the vines
I have realised it has been a few days since I last posted but I have been super busy and extremely excited about a gift I am crafting for one of the other loves in my life (one who unfortunately does not live with us). Oh yes, she is so damn special she takes my breath away. She is also ultra crafty so any present for her must be of a very high standard. I will post pics once she has it but it will be a couple of weeks until this happens.

  1. Oh, you brought back some lovely memories with your photos of Bundagen. I went to an evening music gig there many moons ago. Personally, I'll never get sick of seeing your by the river photos. It's a beautiful river for sure!
