oops

Sorry, I kind of forgot about my blogging world for just a little, but I'm back, albeit a little sleepy and not as with it as usual, so please lower your expectations of any real greatness coming from this post. At least the pictures are pretty. So all things considered, are you ready? Take a deep breath as I shove you back a few weeks so that you can catch up with some of the goings on around here, get comfortable lovely ones.
Just after we arrived back from Malaysia we got an exciting call from our dear friend Ruth, they were in Nambucca and were hoping to come up and spend the day with us in Bellingen, ah yes, what a treat. As soon as I told Poe he was beside himself with excitement and delight, he couldn't wait to see Edie, a dear old friend, a friend who he has known for most of his life (well, more than his life, Ruth and I met when we were pregnant). He set about making some little paper boats as gifts for Edie and Oscar and upon waking the next day, he kept repeating "I am so excited, I am so excited". I was also very excited to see these dear friends, friends with whom we share such a rich history full of love, delight, laughter, a few tears and countless moments of pure bliss.
And it was lovely, we played at home then walked to the river for a ridiculously relaxing and delicious picnic, it was so easy (as it is with good friends) and fun. Ahh, sigh.
Eating wild raspberries and dancing in the sun.
Lovely afternoons, playing with our beautiful neighbours (we have extraordinary good luck with really wonderful neighbours).

Delighting in the joys of Autumn.
Scott and I rediscovering the pleasure a puzzle holds as well as remembering the high level of addiction that comes with it.

Curry night shenanigans and one beautiful moustache.
Working side by side.
A birthday celebration for Sophie, they grow up so quickly, she still looks surprisingly young for five though.
An exclusive and utterly delicious birthday celebration for Amy at No. 5. It was really lovely and so special to celebrate the amazing Amy, it was a truly perfect space to celebrate her, her warmth, love, spark and openness.

Helping some friends build a home and a garden. It always gets me so inspired and fills me with joy to be physically working with so many other people, people who have volunteered their time to help out others. Scott and I feel so lucky to have been a part of the creation of their home space. Keep posted for some house warming photos in the near future.
Poe has been making little bags to sell at the next markets, complete with individually embroidered images, he is determined to get quite a substantial stock pile, such big, beautiful aspirations.
Phew, did you make it through? Hmm, obviously if you are reading this the answer is a resounding 'yes'. Hope you liked it.

  1. Ok so there needs to be a warning at the start of the post about the ADORABLENESS of the children in your photographs, every one of them adorable. Little miss blue eyes purple t-shirt staring right at the lens you are too cute! And on they follow. Loved the post as always. But then I'm a fan what can I say? :) xxx
